Jamela, Rapunzel and Jade cloth dolls

Hello! It has been a while since I last posted here on my blog. I've been taking a break. Spending time with my family, also removing our old retaining wall and replacing it with a new one. Back breaking work! We've had a family holiday with our friends. A wonderful relaxing time. Two of our children have finished school for the year

Yesterday there was a surprise. Jade cloth doll sold to the lovely Naomi. She is all wrapped up and ready to go to her niece. I hope she arrives in time to be opened on Christmas day for lots of squeeze cuddles

First I'd like to share the beautiful bouquet of tulips my husband gave me earlier this week. I can't remember the last time he gave me flowers. It was a nice surprise! They look pretty in our kitchen

I received a lovely message in my inbox from Tracy at Shay J Design saying she has featured my Sunshine embroidery hoop art set on her blog for Quick & Easy DIY: 1st Edition

Please drop by and have a look at the beautiful post Tracy has shared

High Tea

Today was a day to look forward too

My first time to attend a High Tea

My daughter was excited to wear her bangles, necklace, white satin rose/ lace headband, her pretty navy dress with white lace overlay, her adorable black mary jane shoes with Hello Kitty socks and the handbag I made her

My beautiful Mother wanted to hold a High Tea Birthday

for my younger sister and myself

Crystal ware and some of the fine bone china was handed down
from my Great Grandmother and Grandmother

My Birthday was August 27

My younger sister's Birthday is September 13

In attendance ~ Mother, older sister, younger sister and my daughter

After a while, my nephew who was unwell decided to join us

to enjoy the delicious food

Then he sat back in the lounge room

I think he felt overwhelmed by ladies

We enjoyed chatting, eating and sipping

caffeine-free fruit tea

I tried the Raspberry, Strawberry and Loganberry tea

It was delicious!

I'll be buying some and the lemon tea when I next visit the shops

The roses were so pretty

My Dad and older brother were busy fixing the fence in the backyard

They took a break and enjoyed the food

I appreciate the time and effort my Mother

put into preparing the delicious food for the High Tea

It was nice to get dressed up for the occasion,

relax and enjoy the company of family

Have you enjoyed a special event recently?

Happily Forever After

On Saturday our family enjoyed the most wonderful day!

(Click on any of the photos to see an enlarged image)

My best friend Martine married the love of her life, Peter SangHeon Jeon

It was so nice to speak with Martine and her parents before the wedding ceremony. I was bursting with excitement! I couldn't wait for the ceremony to begin. Martine's beauty was a ray of sunshine. She was glowing. I was so happy to see my best friend's dream about to be fulfilled

Martine and Peter were married in the Brisbane Australia Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at Kangaroo Point. The ceremony was so beautifully worded. Very special for everyone who attended

Mr and Mrs Jeon

With our religious beliefs we are married in the temple for time and eternity, not 'til death do you part. We believe our lives do not end when we die that we live on in the eternities and what better way to enjoy this than with the ones we love

Martine's family

The inscription on the Temple reads
'Holiness to the Lord . House of the Lord'

My husband David and I with Peter and Martine
I surprised them by wearing my Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing)
Peter is originally from South Korea

In the afternoon a beautiful reception was held at a relatives home with the Glasshouse Mountains as a backdrop

The bride and groom arriving at the reception

The weather was perfect and there were lovely people to chat with

My Auntie Cathy made the beautiful wedding cake

The lace work was Exquisite! A scrumptious mud cake

Mr and Mrs Jeon were so happy

I embroidered this keepsake piece as part of Martine and Peter's wedding gift

Wishing Peter and Martine the most wonderful life together

I'm so happy as their eternity has just begun~^^
