I've had fun handstitching

I can't believe it is December 22

I have found some time to enjoy handstitching
nanaCompany gorgeousness

I made enough mittens for our family
including one for our precious Border Collie
who passed away a few years ago

I have admired Amy's beautiful handmade creations
for quite a while

The pretty handstitched details, the sweet fabrics,
gorgeous designs and her exquisite patchwork!

I liked piecing the patchwork and sequins on this mitten

The handstitching on the edge is the perfect touch

I made a pom pom for this sweet mitten

Plus, cute polkadot bias tape to peg the mittens

Here is the nanaCompany felt mitten pattern

I'm in the process of making Christmas stars

Also, inspired by nanaCompany!

Last year, I made this needle book using the sweetest fabric. . .

The Simple Life by Tasha Noel

Before next Christmas I want to make Tall Tall Trees

Amy has just released the pattern

Available in her Etsy shop

I also want to make this Advent Calendar

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas

Enjoy time with your family and friends

Japan

Hubby arrived home on Monday. He traveled to Japan with a friend

A 10 day trip!

( Origami paper and Washi tape. Love these!! )

( Lollies and an Eraser set for the kids )

Our friend showed my hubby various parts of Japan for when we go back

Hopefully. . . next year!!!

. . . for our 20th Wedding Anniversary

( A beautiful handbag for me. I love it! )

( Fabric colour is dark burgundy with a thin navy blue stripe )

Very elegant!

I was so happy when they arrived home

To help restore my sanity!!

( More treats to share. Sakura Kit Kat is yummy )

( Chocolate with Almond is so good )

( Crackers, Lollies and Marshmallows )

We all missed Abba (Dad)

( Various facial masks )

The kids have welcomed him home with squeeze cuddles,
tickles, 'pancake Abba' (they all lie on top of Abba and laugh their heads off)

It has been wonderful to have him home again!!

Hubby bought me a surprise gift
from Miyajima Island

So pretty!

Since I was a little girl I have loved jewellery

My dear Grandmother used to call me 'Jewels'

Have a lovely day, Julia

Merry Christmas

December has arrived!

This year has gone by so quick

Gifts I gave to the ladies I visit teach

A friend and I visit some ladies from our church once a month or contact them to see how they are going, if they need help with anything and share a spiritual message

A Christmas message is hiding under the lid

I was planning on baking Brownies to fill the jars however I haven't been well lately and family life has been hectic in recent weeks. I decided to buy some yummy Natural Confectionery Co. lollies. Added some toy stuffing (for snow effect) and a gold 'Merry Christmas'. Trimmed with Christmas fabric and twine

Last night we had dinner at my parents

Yummy food

After dinner we took our kids for a walk
in their neighbourhood to see Christmas lights

We also saw a kangaroo
A lovely surprise
The kids were so excited!!

My Mum gave us some Gingerbread stars to take home

I had one for morning snack. Delicious!

Enjoy the festive season with your family and friends
